I Hear You, Matt:
Finding Meaning After Loss
K. Sue Hoyt never intended to write this memoir, but after the unexpected death of her son, she needed to share her stories of inspiration and healing after loss. After several decades of working as a nurse, educator and a wellness advocate, Dr. Hoyt turned to nonfiction writing as a way to support others while continuing on her own healing journey. In beautiful prose, she will encourage you to be triumphant over grief through her compassionate messages.
A recent survey found that 57% of Americans had experienced a major loss within the previous three years. The death of a child is a common and significant source of pain, with annual rates of parental bereavement increasing with age. By age 60, approximately 9% of American parents have lost a child. Dr. Hoyt will share with you what she has learned in the hopes that you too will gleam some inspiration and a self-realization that you too can survive the unimaginable tragedy---the loss of a child.
